The site-specific project is an experiment where the artificial environment of synchronization is identified with nature and its essence made of time, light and color. Installation, a sundial, that in keeping time records and measures changes in color of the landscape in the flow of seasons. The work consists of a pattern of colored stones on the ground – a diagram depicting the solar – and a vertical element that casts its shadow. The geometric matrix was calculated with reference to the latitude and longitude of Cassano d’Adda. The clock is bounded by a circle drawn with cubes while the color scaleis calibrated through the study of chromatic cycles of the vegetation. In the drawing we can see the lines of the solstices and equinoxes which are dyed in brilliant gold. The vertical element of triangular shape also acts as an attractor, this function is enhanced by the color red which is painted. It is defined, through this circular space, a staging areaand reflection, of harmonic synchronization with the surrounding environment. This work is an invitation to contemplation of the rich natural environment, a stimulus to reflection on the possibilities of “living harmoniously with the earth.”
