Graduated in Fine Arts, she currently completing her doctoral thesis between University of Granada and Accademia Brera.
Her artistic research is about the development of new artistic ways, able to reactivate the lost connection between the individual and nature and about how to generate environmental awareness.
We’ve been neglecting our natural roots and everything we touch, we transform it in something artificial. That’s why we need to change our vision of the world, we need empathy and harmony, need to be closer to what we are and that, too often, we forgot to be: Nature.
“Radici in Equilibrio” (“Roots in Balance”) shows and discloses a part of the invisible traces of our actions on the environment; the installation identifies an “invisible” part of the plants which live the city.
The project aim is to recover and change the point of view of those plants, thrown away because dead, the roots of which are shaped like the vase that hosted them. The goal, showing and exhibiting the shaped soil and roots blocks, is to give them new vitality back, sowing in them different and local seeds.
It’s not only a message of ecological sustainability through art, but also a way to reintegrate this last one with nature, which wants to express and highlight our roots value.
